What is ferrite?
Ferrites are classified into hard ferrite and soft ferrite depending on holding power, and hard ferrites are mostly used in permanent magnets. Soft ferrites are used for EMC and represented by the chemical formula MO, Fe2O3 in which M is Mn2+ and Zn2+ for low frequencies and Ni2+ and Cu2+ at high frequencies.

[Ferrite Core Effect]
Magnetic fields are generated in the vicinity of cables which carry electricity. The magnetic fields discharged as electronic waves by the cable rather than an antenna. When this cable is passed into soft ferrite, the magnetic field that was formed in the space collects in the ferrite due to the effect of the magnetic flux of the ferrite, and only the unneeded high frequency energy is converted to heat energy and dissipated.
Soft ferrite is used in almost all digital devices as a noise control parts.
