Disposable Containers
Laminating ecoflex onto trays made from corn and potatoes starches improves strength and water resistance. |
Lamination Coating![]() Ecoflex has excellent bending strength and fat resistance, as well as heat sealing properties. The glass transition temperature is 35°C and thus the shape does not change when exposed to hot water of up to 90°C. It can be therefore used for hot and cold substances. |
Films Ecoflex has excellent spreading properties and films under 10µm can be molded. It has a wide range of uses from mulch films to packaging bags. Because the tear strength is high, it can also be readily used for machines such as mulchers.![]() |
Shopping Bags/ Compost Bags Ecoflex is ideal for a multipurpose bag that may be used at the supermarket as a shopping bag and then used afterwards as a compost bag for kitchen waste. Its strength and thickness will allow cost reduction.![]() |
Films for Food Wrapping Ecoflex can be used to make films for wrapping food. Piercing strength is sufficient for it to form as strong wrapper. If used together with an Ecoflex disposable starch container, both the container and the wrapper will be biodegradable.![]() |
Stretching
Ecoflex can be stretched in the same manner as HDPE. By stretching 6 times, the tensile strength is increased 6 times. The photo at the right shows onions in a net made from weaving stretched Ecoflex flat yarn.![]() |
