Ultraviolet Light Absorbers1. Properties
| Ultraviolet light which is included in the sun's spectrum has a wavelength range of 280- 400nm and has a larger amount of energy than visible light. Thus, ultraviolet light is present in oxygen in the air and sometimes changes or sometimes completely destroys organic substances. The purpose of ultraviolet light absorbers (UVA) and light stabilizers is to protect these substances from ultraviolet light and make them stable. UVAs absorb the ultraviolet light that is harmful to plastic and converts it to heat, kinetic and light energy inside the molecule and the radiates the energy and thereby has a stabilizing effect. |
